iPhone Pwnage Tool for OS X
The iPhone Dev Team recently announced the Mac OS X version of the PwnageTool app. The application unlocks iPhones and lets users load the firmware of their choice to the device but still lets it work with Apple’s servers. The new PwnageTool allowed the folks over at Engadget to to unlock an 8GB locked iPhone, upgrade its firmware, and then allow it to run on T-Mobile’s network. According to Nilay Patel at Engadget, “It’s not exactly a one-click process, but it’s not all that hard either”.
