Apple running low on iPhones?

Is Apple running out of iPhones or are they gearing up for the next generation of the device? The rumor mill is running rampant with speculation.

Analysts have reported that online shipments of the iPhone are delayed and some major Apple stores are out of stock of the device. Are they behind in manufacturing or are they purposely preparing for the upcoming 3G release of the handset?

At a press luncheon at CTIA last week in Vegas, AT&T’s CEO, Ralph de la Vega, eluded to the fact that AT&T’s smart devices would soon be 3G, which would include Apple’s iPhone. Only time will tell in the next few months. What is your opinion?
