iPhone 3G chip found in latest update

Apple’s latest firmware update revealed a reference to a 3G chipset, the Infineon SGOLD3, according to Zibri, maker of the ZiPhone iPhone tool. The new S-GOLD3, which replaces the current S-GOLD2 chipset, is said to support HSDPA category 8 (7.2 Mbps) data, up to 5 megapixel cameras, MPEG4/H.263 hardware acceleration, and video telephony, streaming, recording, and playback.
