3G iPhone to be announced at WWDC in June?

Industry sources are saying that Apple will introduce the new 3G model of the iPhone at the company’s developer conference in June.

Other rumors coming to surface are the possible configurations and pricing of the new 3G iPhone models. Prices are supposedly set to start at US$399 for the 8GB model, US$499 for the 16GB model, and possibly even a 32GB variant (US$599). This should, of course, be considered pure speculation at this time.

Other rumors that have come across the wire include a thinner body on the phone, shaving 2.5mm from the original model, adjustments to the overall aesthetics of the device, and fine-tuning of the iPhone’s accelerometer.
