NetBlender releases BD Touch for Apple iPhones

NetBlender has officially launched BD Touch, a technology allowing communication between the Apple iPhone or iPod Touch and a Blu-ray player. Using NetBlender’s BD Live, a WiFi connection is made with the iPhone and then paired up with a compatible Blu-ray player. Audio, text, video, and Blu-ray player commands can all be controlled directly from the user’s iPhone.

Other features include:

  • Transfer of movies to iPhone
  • Automatic update of user’s disc collection database
  • Display of extra movie information on iPhone
  • Add games, ringtones, themes, or wallpaper from disc
  • Active remote control of Blu-ray player



NetBlender is offering the BD Touch SDK free to developers, providing complete specs for those interested in creating BD Touch plug-ins.
