Handwriting Recognition for the iPhone served up Palm-style

For those iPhone users missing the ability to write directly onscreen, here is your chance. This new app, looking very similar to Palm’s handwriting recognition system, offers users another option for text input.

The handwriting recognition IME for the iPhone, developed by Hanwang.com.cn and called HWPen, provides an entry box on the bottom half of the iPhone’s display screen for letters, symbols, and punctuation. Chinese multi-character and Latin alphabets are all supported.

The app is still in early beta form and is clearly labeled so. It is highly recommended to do system backup before downloading.
