UK’s 02 confirms iPhone pricing drop
As we recently reported, O2’s 8GB iPhone in the UK has dropped. The wireless carrier, along with Carphone Warehouse, confirmed our reports that Apple’s 8GB model has been reduced. The 8GB iPhone is available now for GBP169 (US$334) until June 1, with a price mark down of GBP100 (US$197). O2’s 16GB iPhone pricing will remain the same at GBP329.
O2 has decided to leave the tariff pricing the same for the device, which starts at GBP35. The carrier also declined comment when asked if the price reduction was in response to clearing the shelves for the launch of the highly anticipated 3G iPhone.
