UK iPhone reductions pay off for O2 and Carphone Warehouse
Last week as we reported, UK iPhone retailers O2 and Carphone Warehouse slashed the prices of Apple’s 8GB iPhone by GBP100 to GBP169. It looks as though the decision to reduce iPhone prices have paid off. An employee at Carphone Warehouse on Oxford Street in London said that iPhone sales have doubled and O2 stores have reported being completely sold out of the device.
O2 expects more iPhones to arrive over the weekend to continue the sale of the 8GB iPhone. Its sale runs until June 1.
