The on-and-off again relationship with AT&T and the iPhone’s free WiFi seems to be experiencing yet another bump in the road. It seems a few hours after our post hit the web, the wireless carrier pulled all references about offering HotSpot WiFi for iPhones from its website.

Everyday brings something new and today MacRumors is showing evidence that AT&T has updated its iPhone plans online to show that they now include access to more than 17,000 WiFi HotSpots, including Starbucks.

AT&T disables free WiFi for iPhone

It didn’t take long before other mobile users caught on to AT&T’s free WiFi and started using the HotSpot service. The wireless carrier has suspended its free HotSpot WiFi services to iPhone users, for the time being. AT&T has not commented on when and if the service will become available again.
